1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website isolobalboa.com (the “Website”) and all online courses, content, and services offered through it (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are provided by Olga Marina, a sole trader operating under the brand iSOLObalboa, based in Sweden.

By registering an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. About the Service

iSOLObalboa is an online dance school offering video-based Solo Balboa courses. All content is provided via online streaming only — no downloads are available. Courses are intended for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Account Registration

To access the Services, you must create a personal account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential.
  • Notify us promptly at isolobalboa@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

One account per person. Your account is strictly personal and may not be shared with, transferred to, or used by any other individual. Sharing login credentials is a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

4.1 Subscription Plans

iSOLObalboa offers the following membership plans, which grant unlimited access to all available online courses during the subscription period:

4.2 Included Features

Depending on the plan, your subscription may include:

  • Unlimited access to all online courses (streaming only)
  • Private music playlists for courses
  • A Personalised Practice Plan (PPP) — a 30-minute online session with Olga to discuss your goals and create a tailored practice plan (included in 6-month and 12-month plans)
  • A private session with Olga — either a 30-minute in-person private or a 1-hour online private via Skype/Zoom (included in the 12-month plan)

4.3 Pricing and VAT

All prices displayed on the Website include applicable VAT. Prices are listed in euros (€). We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; such changes will not affect subscriptions already purchased.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe using AES-256 encryption. iSOLObalboa does not store or have access to your credit card details.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Debit and credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express
  • PayPal

Additional payment options may be available upon request — please contact us via the contact form on the Website to discuss alternatives.

By completing a purchase, you authorise us to charge the applicable fee to your chosen payment method. You will be charged at the point of purchase (not at the end of a trial period).

6. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

All subscription plans and individual course purchases come with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If, within 14 days of your purchase, you are not satisfied with the quality of the content or decide the courses are not right for you, you may request a full refund by contacting our support team at isolobalboa@gmail.com.

Refund requests made after the 14-day window will not be accepted, except as required by applicable law.

7. Membership Management

7.1 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at isolobalboa@gmail.com.

Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a paid period, except within the 14-day money-back window described in Section 6.
  • Your account will remain open but will revert to a basic (limited) level of access.
  • You may occasionally receive emails from Olga with updates, offers, or news. You can opt out of these at any time.

To avoid being charged for the next renewal period, you must cancel before your renewal date.

If you wish to permanently delete your account and be removed from all mailing lists, please send a written request to isolobalboa@gmail.com and we will action this promptly.

7.2 Upgrading or Changing Your Plan

If you would like to switch to a different subscription plan, please contact us at isolobalboa@gmail.com before your next renewal date. Plan changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period. We are unable to apply plan changes mid-cycle.

7.3 Account Termination by iSOLObalboa

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. In such cases, no refund will be issued for the remaining subscription period.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on iSOLObalboa — including but not limited to video lessons, demo drills, music playlists, written materials, graphics, logos, and course structure — is the exclusive intellectual property of Olga Marina and/or its respective licensors.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and view the content during your active subscription or course access period, for your own private, non-commercial use only.

You may not:

  • Download, record, copy, or reproduce any course content.
  • Share, redistribute, broadcast, or publicly display any content.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Services or content.
  • Use the content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Any unauthorised use may result in account termination and/or legal action.

9. User Conduct

By using the Services, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Use the Services for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or its systems.
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Website.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.

10. No Certification

The courses and content provided by iSOLObalboa are for personal development and enjoyment only. Completion of any course or subscription does not confer any professional qualification, certification, or licence to teach Balboa or any other dance style. No course on this platform is accredited by any governing or certification body.

11. Electronic Communications

By registering an account or using the Services, you consent to receiving communications from us electronically, including by email. You agree that all notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

12. Third-Party Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites (such as social media platforms, music services, or event pages). These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content or practices of those sites and accept no responsibility or liability for them. Visiting any linked third-party site is at your own risk, and we encourage you to review their terms and privacy policies.

13. Availability and Changes to Services

We strive to keep the Website and Services available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice.
  • Add, remove, or update course content.
  • Change subscription features or pricing (changes to price or features will not affect active subscriptions unless prior notice is given).

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Swedish law, Olga Marina makes no warranties — express or implied — regarding the Services, including but not limited to their accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Dance involves physical activity. By participating in any course, you acknowledge that you are doing so voluntarily and at your own risk. You are solely responsible for assessing your own fitness and health before following any exercise or dance instruction.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Olga Marina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services, including but not limited to physical injury, loss of data, or loss of profits.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Swedish or EU law.

16. Privacy

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at isolobalboa.com/privacy-policy. By using the Services, you consent to such processing.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts.

If you are a consumer based in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

18. Consumer Rights (EU/EEA)

If you are a consumer resident in the EU or EEA, you have rights under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be overridden by these Terms, including rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and applicable Swedish consumer law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude those rights.

19. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, the revised Terms will be posted on the Website with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we will endeavour to notify active subscribers by email.

20. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Olga Marina and iSOLObalboa from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit or share through the Services.

21. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms if such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failures, internet outages, illness, natural disasters, or other circumstances outside our control.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. All remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

23. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and iSOLObalboa regarding your use of the Services, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings on the same subject matter.
